Founded in 1956:

PetEdge was founded in 1956 by Loeb Katz as New England Serum Company. Initially, Loeb provided serums to local dairy farms in the Topsfield, Massachusetts area.

As the company grew, the product line was expanded to include pet products. The first product flyer was mailed in 1968.

Over the years, our family-owned business has evolved to serve the changing needs of pet care professionals and independent pet supply retailers across the country.

As our business changed, many customers told us that they were initially confused by what type of products New England Serum Company provided.

Because we no longer sell serums and we have customers throughout the entire United States, Canada and internationally, we felt it was time to change our name.

After nearly half a century as New England Serum Company, your #1 discount source for professional pet care products, we changed our name to PetEdge in the fall of September 2002.

In 2003, PetEdge opened a second distribution center to provide you with even faster service and reduce shipping costs.

Our Billerica, Massachusetts and Reno, Nevada warehouses offer same day shipping on all orders placed before 2 pm Monday through Friday.
