Sizing on Collars
Nylon or Leather Collars:
To determine the proper size, measure the circumference of pet’s neck and add 1-2".
1/2"-5/8" width is best for puppies and small dogs. 5/8"-3/4" width is best for small to medium dogs. 1"-1 1/4" width is best for large dogs.
Prong Chain Training Collars:
To determine the proper size, measure the circumference of pet’s neck and add 1". Prong Collars should fit snug and high on the dog’s neck. Millimeter (mm) size refers to the thickness of the wire. For a longer collar in the thickness that you prefer, add extra links.
Choke Chain Training Collars:
To determine the proper size, measure the circumference of pet’s neck and add 2"-3". The effectiveness of the correction will be diminished if the collar is too loose.
