Not My Go To
Name Withheld (Woonsocket, South Dakota) - 4/13/14 1:37 PM
Pros: Light Weight
Cons: Hot!!!
Review: These are okay clippers, not great. They are not the ones I reach for first.Good News: I love that they are relatively light weight and the way the body fits my hand. I can go through a pretty good length of coat without a great deal of effort or strain. Good blade speed and didn't bog down even when doing a long haired cat. There is some noise, but not a horrible amount. I use this asa top/tail clipper on my less sensitive clients and do feet until......Bad News: There is a Lot of HEAT! This thing gets HOT! Both the blade and the body, and not after a great deal of time either. So it is not a clipper I use on my feline clients. Also, it has a good vibration in there. Enough that even with frequent breaks to change out blades as they heated (I change blades a lot more than most groomers I've known), it aggravated my carpel tunnel in my main hand. Not as bad as some I've seen, but enough that some clients notice and fuss, requiring a lot more blocking and handling.Overall: Not my go to clipper. I have others that I will reach for first that had prices similar to this one at purchase. I would say, this is probably the next step up in the clipper world from the ones you get in the pet section at the superstores.. okay for the occasional job, but not one I'd buy again for either my mobile grooming or my shop. And most telling... when I pack for an onsite groom... this is not the clipper I pack. Guess that says itall.
