I want to open by thanking all of you for your loyalty to PetEdge and for continuing to trust us for your pet supply needs.
I also want to provide you with an update on PetEdge as our business continues to evolve. Our Company has always been committed to providing the pet products you want for your business at a great price with the overall commitment to providing you with great value. What that means is that we, as a Company, must stay committed to continuous improvement. It has been said that “if you are not moving forward, then you are going backwards because the world is moving forward around you”.
In our effort to identify opportunities to ensure we are moving forward, we are making a number of changes to our internal operations to improve efficiencies and lower our cost of operations. One of those changes involves the consolidation of our distribution center operations into one location rather than incurring duplicate and redundant costs in two locations. Over the next several months we will be transitioning all of our warehousing and fulfillment functions into our Reno, NV facility.
What does this mean for you? First and foremost it means that PetEdge will be able to continue to service your business and offer a broad array of products to you at incredible value. It means that by improving our efficiencies and reducing our costs where we have control in order to offset other cost increases where we have little or no control, we can minimize the need to increase prices. Some of you may experience a slight increase in shipping time of 1 to 5 days, while others may experience a slight improvement in transit time. Rest assured that we are looking at all aspects of this consolidation to ensure we continue to serve you and your businesses to the best of our abilities.
