Andis® UltraEdge Blades are made from high-carbon steel and processed through a unique carburizing treatment that adds carbon to the metal for a harder cutting surface.
Blending blades, also known as skip tooth blades, are used to soften lines and finish a groom. They have fine teeth and are wider than standard blades, making them ideal for larger dogs and matted coats. Blenders are used for:

• Smoothing clipper lines: Blenders can help smooth out lines between long and short hair.
• Natural texture: Blenders can help give a coat a more natural texture.
• Full clip downs: Blenders are good for fully clipping down matted dogs.
• Shortening coats: Blenders can help free-hand shorten a coat before scissoring.
• Shaving larger breeds: Blenders can be useful for shaving larger dogs.

Blending blades are wider and cover a larger area than typical blades, meaning they are ideal for quickly and efficiently shaving down bigger breeds.
